BANGKOK, 23 January 2012 (NNT) – Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra plans to take advantage of her presence at the upcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland to bring back foreign confidence in Thailand.
Prime Minister Yingluck is scheduled to attend the 42nd WEF in Davos, Switzerland on 27-28 January after her official visit to India. During the forum, the Thai Prime Minister will provide the global community with reassurance that Thailand’s economy is already recovering from the flood crisis. She will also insist that the Thai private sector is still strong and will continue to be a driving force in the global market.
The premier is set to attend three main sessions, which include a roundtable discussion on sustainable economic expansion with international leaders and executives; a conference entitled “Women as the Way Forward” aimed to exchange opinions on the values and roles of female leaders; and a meeting with top executives under the topic of “Public-Private Interaction on Thailand” to find measures for enhancing the potential of the Thai economy, managing water resources and reforming Thailand in the long run.
On this occasion, Ms. Yingluck will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders from across the globe, including the President of Tanzania, the President of Switzerland and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister will also give interviews to the foreign press, such as CNBC, Euronews and The Financial Times, to create confidence in Thailand’s politics, economy and water management measures for the future. The Prime Minister’s goal is to restore investor confidence by advertising the potential of Thailand and the government’s investment promotion policies.
Additionally, Thailand will organize the “Thailand Night” event on 27 January to publicize that it will be hosting the World Economic Forum on East Asia 2012 during 30 May to 1 June.

นายพงษ์ศักดิ์ อัสสกุล รักษาการประธานหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย เปิดเผยถึงกรณีคณะรัฐมนตรี (ครม.) มีมติออกร่างพระราชกฤษฎีกา (พ.ร.ฎ.) พระราชทานอภัยโทษซึ่งวิพากษ์วิจารณ์กันว่าอาจเกี่ยวของกับ พ.ต.ท.ทักษิณ ชินวัตร อดีตนายกรัฐมนตรี ว่า ไม่สบายใจกับการดำเนินการดังกล่าว ซึ่งไม่ใช่เวลาที่เหมาะสม และเป็นเรื่องแปลก เนื่องจากงานที่รัฐบาลต้องทำเป็นสิ่งแรกคือการแก้ไขปัญหาน้ำท่วมให้ลดลงไปโดยเร็วที่สุด หากไม่จัดการให้น้ำแห้งก็จะไม่สามารถฟื้นฟูประเทศได้
ด้านนายพรศิลป์ พัชรินทร์ตนะกุล รองประธานหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย กล่าวว่าภาคธุรกิจไม่ต้องการเห็นการดำเนินการในลักษณะนี้เกิดขึ้น เพราะมีโอกาสที่จะเกิดความวุ่นวายภายในประเทศ และหากมีการประท้วงจะส่งผลต่อความเชื่อมั่นในการทำธุรกิจ

“รัฐบาลควรคำนึงถึงภาพรวมของประเทศ และรักษาสมดุลให้ได้ทั้งภาคการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ และสังคม หากไม่สามารถรักษาสมดุลได้ เท่ากับว่า เล่นการเมืองไม่เป็น จะทำให้การเมืองไทยเริ่มมีปัญหาความเสี่ยงเกิดขึ้นอีก และเกิดความเสี่ยงต่อภาคธุรกิจตามมา จึงอยากฝากให้รัฐบาลคิดให้ดีว่าจะทำเรื่องนี้ต่อไปหรือ ในขณะที่เริ่มเห็นแล้วว่ามีโอกาสที่จะเกิดปัญหาลุกลามได้หากบริหารจัดการไม่ดี” นายพรศิลป์กล่าว

ด้านนายพยุงศักดิ์ ชาติสุทธิผล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) กล่าวว่าเรื่องการเตรียมเสนอพ.ร.ฎ.พระราชทานอภัยโทษให้ พ.ต.ท.ทักษิณ เชื่อว่าต้องมีทั้งฝ่ายที่คัดค้าน และคนที่เห็นด้วย จึงต้องหาทางออกร่วมกัน เพราะเอกชนไม่อยากเห็นความขัดแย้ง เพราะไม่มีอะไรดีขึ้น การที่รัฐบาลจะตัดสินใจเรื่องนี้ก็ต้องคิดถึงเหตุและผล

นายพยุงศักดิ์ยังกล่าวถึงผลการสำรวจความเชื่อมั่นของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยในเดือนต.ค. พบว่าค่าดัชนีปรับลดลงมาอยู่ที่ระดับ 89 จากเดือนก.ย.ที่ 90.7 โดยปรับลดต่ำสุดในรอบ 26 เดือน เป็นผลจากน้ำท่วม

นายสุรพงษ์ ไพสิฐพัฒนพงษ์ โฆษกกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ ส.อ.ท. กล่าวว่า รถยนต์ที่ผลิตในเดือนต.ค.54 มีทั้งหมด 49,439 คัน ต่ำสุดในรอบ 112 เดือน หรือเกือบ 10 ปี โดยลดลงจากเดือนต.ค.53 ที่ 67.62% และลดลงจากเดือนก.ย.54 ที่ 71.62% เนื่องจากน้ำท่วม ทำให้ยอดการผลิตรถยนต์ทั้งปีมีแนวโน้มจะต่ำกว่าปี”53 ที่ 1.68 ล้านคัน

นายวุฒิกร สุริยะฉันทนานนท์ ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่อาวุโส บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด กล่าวว่าการขายรถยนต์เดือนต.ค.54 มียอดขายทั้งสิ้น 42,873 คัน ลดลง 40.5% เมื่อเทียบกับช่วงเดียวกันในปีที่ผ่านมา เป็นอัตราการเติบโตที่ลดลงมากที่สุดในรอบ 13 ปี

เมื่อเวลา 20.30 น. วันนี้ (9 ต.ค.) น.ส.ยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้ชี้แจงกับประชาชนผ่านโทรทัศน์รวมการเฉพาะกิจแห่งประเทศไทย เรื่อง “วิกฤตการณ์อุทกภัยของประเทศที่กระจายอยู่ทั่วทุกภูมิภาค” โดยได้สรุปแนวทางและมาตรการในการป้องกันและให้ความช่วยเหลือประชาชนพร้อมระบุว่าได้รับรายงานจากอธิบดีกรมชลประทาน กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ว่าปริมาณฝนที่ตกในภาคเหนือและภาคกลางตอนบน เริ่มมีแนวโน้มลดลงทำให้สามารถคาดการณ์ได้ว่าปริมาณน้ำในแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา จะยังคงสูงอีกไม่มากนัก คาดว่าจะมีระดับน้ำสูงสุดที่ จ.นครสวรรค์ ในช่วงระหว่างวันที่ 12-13 ต.ค.นี้ 4,800-4,900 ลบ.ม. และจะทรงตัวอยู่ประมาณ 1 สัปดาห์ จากนั้นจะเริ่มลดลงช้าๆ แต่ระดับน้ำโดยเฉพาะในแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาจะสูงขึ้นจากปัจจุบันทุกจุด เฉลี่ยไม่เกิน 20 ซม. ซึ่งรัฐบาลได้ให้ผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องติดตามและเฝ้าระวังเสริมคันกั้นน้ำให้มั่นคง เพื่อรองรับปริมาณน้ำที่จะเพิ่มขึ้น

น.ส.ยิ่งลักษณ์ กล่าวอีกว่า สำหรับพื้นที่ที่ต้องเฝ้าระวัง และอาจเกิดปัญหาน้ำท่วมเพิ่มขึ้น ได้แก่บริเวณฝั่งซ้ายของแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ตั้งแต่ อ.อุทัย บางปะอิน วังน้อย จ.พระนครศรีอยุธยา ขอให้ประชาชนติดตามข่าวสารการแจ้งเตือนอย่างใกล้ชิด ส่วนการเตรียมความพร้อมป้องกันน้ำท่วมพื้นที่ กทม.นั้น ด้านตะวันตก มีสถานีสูบน้ำ 188 แห่ง ประตูระบายน้ำ 214 แห่ง ซึ่งกทม. จะเร่งเตรียมพร้อมที่จะระบายน้ำ ส่วนด้านตะวันออกตอนใต้ของ กทม. บริเวณสุวรรณภูมิ ตนก็ได้สั่งให้เตรียมการขุดลอกคลอง 5 แห่ง ให้แล้วเสร็จภายใน 7-10 วัน และเตรียมเครื่องสูบน้ำไว้รองรับเรียบร้อยแล้ว สำหรับชาว กทม. บริเวณนอกแนวคันกั้นน้ำและริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ถือว่าเป็นกลุ่มเสี่ยงก็ขอให้ เตรียมตัวขนย้ายทรัพย์สินมีค่าสิ่งของที่จำเป็นออกนอกพื้นที่ และให้เฝ้าติดตามสถานการณ์จาก ศ.ป.ภ. เป็นระยะๆ

“ขอให้พี่น้องประชาชนไม่ต้องตระหนกตกใจหรือหวาดหวั่นกับข่าวลือต่างๆ ที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นรัฐบาลจะชี้แจงข้อมูลให้ทราบผ่าน ศ.ป.ภ. เป็นระยะ ๆ รัฐบาลได้รับทราบและเข้าใจปัญหาจากทุกภาคส่วนเป็นอย่างดีแล้ว และจะได้ประมวลมากำหนดเป็นมาตรการเยียวยาและฟื้นฟูประชาชน และผู้ประกอบการที่ประสบอุทกภัยต่อไป รวมถึงการแก้ปัญหาฟื้นฟูระยะยาวถึงแม้ว่าจะมีค่าใช้จ่ายในการลงทุนสูง แต่รัฐบาลเห็นว่าเป็นสิ่งจำเป็นเพื่อไม่ให้มีผลกระทบระยะยาว ซึ่งขอให้ประชาชนชาวไทยร่วมมือกันให้ความช่วยเหลือ และให้กำลังใจซึ่งกันและกันในภาวะที่พี่น้องบางส่วนกำลังเผชิญความลำบาก ดิฉันเชื่อว่าหากเรามีความสามัคคีร่วมมือร่วมใจกันจะสามารถฝ่าฟันวิกฤตครั้งนี้ไปได้” นายกรัฐมนตรี กล่าว.

สรุปสถานการณ์น้ำท่วมตลอดเดือนกันยายน 2554 ที่ผ่านมา ประชาชนในภาคเหนือ ภาคกลาง และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ต้องได้รับความเดือดร้อนจากเหตุอุทกภัยที่เกิดความสภาพอากาศที่มีฝนตกหนักอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมทั้งมรสุมและพายุรุนแรงที่พัดสร้างความเสียหายจำนวน 2 ลูกติดต่อกัน

ทำให้สถานการณ์น้ำท่วมทั่วประเทศได้ขยายตัวออกเป็นวงกว้างในพื้นที่ 32 จังหวัด และยังคงมีแนวโน้มรุนแรงขึ้นต่อไปในเดือนตุลาคม 2554 เนื่องจากอิทธิพลของมรสุมที่ยังคงรุนแรง ประกอบกับน้ำจำนวนมหาศาลจากทางภาคเหนือที่กำลังไหลหลากลงสู่ทางทิศใต้ ทำให้ปริมาณน้ำในแม่น้ำสาขาต่างๆ เพิ่มสูงขึ้นและใกล้ถึงขีดสูงสุดที่เขื่อนกั้นน้ำต่างๆ จะกักเก็บเอาไว้ได้ ส่งผลให้พื้นที่ภาคกลาง รวมทั้งกรุงเทพมหานคร ยังคงสุ่มเสี่ยงในการเกิดอุทกภัยร้ายแรงในอนาคต

liegt einem Korallenriff gegenüber. Besucher können entweder schnorcheln oder die Korallen von einem Boot mit Glasboden aus betrachten. Die Fährschiffe nach Ko Lan legen vom South Pattaya Pier täglich von 10.00 bis 18.30 ab. Kreuzfahrten in Segeldschunken mit eingeschlossenem Mittagessen werden ebenfalls angeboten.

Kosak (Inseln)
Kosak, eine kleine Insel mit 2 Sandstränden liegt 600 Meter von Ko Lan und 10 km westlich der Straße von Pattaya. Übernachtungen auf der Insel sind möglich.

Jomtien Beach
Der Strand von Jomtien ist von der eigentlichen Stadt Pattaya durch den Phra-Tamnak-Hügel  geographisch getrennt, es gibt aber seit 2006 eine neue Straße, die die Stadt Pattaya über den Bali Hai Pier auf der Strandseite direkt mit Jomtien verbindet. Im Gegensatz zur Pattaya Beach ist Jomtien ein Familien-Bad, Wohnhäuser reihen sich hier an Strandhotels, Bungalow-Dörfer, Apartment-Hochhäuser und Restaurants. Der 56-stöckige „Pattaya Park Tower“ ist weithin sichtbar, es ist das größte Resorthotel Asiens. Das „Ambassador City Jomtien“ mit mehr als 4000 Zimmern befindet sich ebenfalls hier. Die Errichtung weiterer Hochhäuser ist geplant, so beispielsweise der 91-stöckige Ocean-1-Tower

Bangkok, Thailand (CNN) — The Thai parliament elected the nation’s
first female prime minister Friday, with more than half the lawmakers backing
her vote.

Yingluck Shinawatra has to be proclaimed by the nation’s king before she can
officially take office. If King Bhumibol Adulyadej proclaims her, she will be
the 28th prime minister in Thai history.

Yingluck won 296 votes in the nearly 500-member parliament.

“The first thing I want to do is help people on their economic situation,”
she said last month.

Yingluck is the younger sister of one of Thailand’s most polarizing political
figures, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted in a 2006
military coup.

He left the country two years later after being convicted on conflict of
interest charges — accusations he denies.

Yingluck’s critics worry she will do her brother’s bidding — something she
has denied.

“There is a lot more hard work to do in the future for the well-being of our
sisters and brothers, the people of Thailand,” she said last month. “There are
many things to accomplish to make reconciliation possible, paving the way for a
solid foundation for a flourishing nation.”

Tensions between the Democratic Party and the Pheu Thai party, which reflect
deep divisions within Thai society, erupted last year, leading to a military
crackdown. More than 90 people were killed and hundreds were injured.

After the riots, the Thai government pledged to work toward
national reconciliation to heal class and political divisions, though the divide
between the two groups remains wide.
